Why the bulletin matters more than any website
The information bulletin is the official rulebook for a counselling or entrance process. When a website, a friend and a video disagree, the bulletin for your year decides. Reading it once, carefully, prevents most avoidable mistakes.
What to look for first
- Eligibility: subjects, minimum marks, age limits and attempt limits
- Important dates: registration, document verification, choice filling, results and reporting
- Quotas and reservations that apply to you: state, category, domicile and any special categories
- Fees: registration fee, seat acceptance fee and what is refundable
Rules that surprise students
- Rules for exiting or upgrading after an allotment
- Service bonds and penalties for leaving a seat
- What happens if you miss reporting
- Rules on document formats, photographs and signatures
A simple method
- Read the whole document once without highlighting
- Make a one-page summary of dates, documents and rules
- Note every question you cannot answer and ask your counsellor or the official helpdesk
- Re-read the sections on choice filling and reporting just before those stages
How we help
Our counsellors work from the current bulletin and tell you when something is unclear or unconfirmed. We never ask you to share your counselling login.
