Red flags
- Guaranteed admission or "no NEET needed" claims that do not match the current NMC rules
- A very low fee with no itemised written estimate
- Pressure to pay a large amount immediately
- No clear answer on recognition of the university for Indian students
- Brochures with photos but no verifiable official sources
What to verify yourself
- The current NMC rules for Indian students studying abroad
- The university's recognition in its own country
- The medium of instruction for the whole programme
- The licensing or screening exam you must pass to practise in India
- Official travel and safety advisories
Ask for everything in writing
